It’s about that time when I share a little bit more about myself and this wonderful blog I’ve got here!
What I’m really excited to do is share my thoughts, tips, tricks and ideas with all of you. I love trying new recipes, I’m a chef at heart and love experimenting with new foods (cooking, baking, and cocktails..be sure to checkout my Cooking and Baking page to see what I’ve recently come up with!) planning parties, entertaining and going on adventures whether that happens to be in my back yard or across the country. I’ve recently just moved to downtown Denver, CO with my other half and partner in crime, Cory, and as you can imagine there are a thousand and one things to do here, so you have to keep checking my Instagram to see what I’ve been up to; especially with Fall here and the holidays coming up, it’s festival season!
I’m obsessed with finding new books, music and movies! Now that it’s getting a little cooler outside it’s a great time to find that perfect book and cuddle up on the couch with a blanket and a cup of hot chocolate! As you will come to see, I’m a movie geek, I will never get enough of the Harry Potter movies I’m always ready for a marathon, but I also love looking for old classics and unique finds. It goes the same way with music I have such a country heart I could listen to Garth Brooks all day long, but really it depends on my mood. It could be a new KYGO tune, finding the new Maroon 5 album or the just dropped single from Katy Perry or P!nk.
I was born in New York, but raised in Colorado Springs, CO which is where I got my love of the outdoors. I love going camping, hiking and exploring, I will always post my hiking adventures and the trail I took so you are able to check it out yourself! (Along with some great pictures as well you can find under my photography page) My mom and I are the hikers of the family, we can literally go for miles and we always find some great spots!
I went to Coronado High School, then played volleyball in college at Colorado Northwestern for two years, then transferred to University of Colorado and studied business and sport management. Between working for the United States Olympic Committee and graduating college I wanted to be working for a big sports organization in a big city, like the Broncos, or the Rockies!
Fortunately for me, my love of adventure took over early and my most recent move to Denver is just the beginning, I grew up following the conformist way of life and today I couldn’t be more of the opposite. Although my initial dream was to work in a big sports organization through the past few years that’s changed, now I’m not exactly sure what I want to do for the rest of my life all I know if that I want to make enough money to travel. Being able to have those experiences is much more important to me than being rich or having a lot of stuff.
I’m excited to get my blog going, and share with you all! Make sure to keep in contact with me through Instagram and follow me on Pinterest to see my latest picks and also on Bloglovin‘
