How’s everyone’s Sunday?! I like most people, I assume, have a love hate relationship with Sunday’s. Love it because well it’s now football
season and here in Broncos country we don’t mess around. (Today we are heading to Los Angeles to DEFEAT the Chargers!)
But hate it because the weekends are always too short so Sunday’s I have to take full advantage of!
I can honestly tell you, since the season started myself, my boy, and all of our friends gather
every Sunday to watch the games, it’s literally an all day affair. On a side note my household is also a soccer family, we started the morning off very chipper because Arsenal Football Club won their game today as well!
Once the morning football games begin, our friends start gathering and I’m usually in the kitchen getting food together for everyone. I really enjoy cooking on Sunday’s for everyone, it’s a great feeling to have good friends and family around! Today I made creamy polenta with a vegetable stew! Find the recipe HERE!
And just because I was having a chocolaty craving I made some healthy chocolate chip cookies! Recipe HERE.
Beyond football, it’s a day to reset for the week, whether that means cleaning the house a bit,
laundry and getting ready for the work week. Another part of the hate relationship is because I have to go to work the next day of course and nobody likes that.
Overall though the weekend was great, my weekend started off early Friday evening, Cory’s mom invited us to a great benefit for Goodwill, called
Goodwill’s Moonlight Masquerade. It was wonderful, we got to get dressed up get a little fancy and donated money towards a good cause.
Saturday we met everyone downtown and did a little bar hopping started off at the oh so famous Gin Mill. 😉 So this morning being able to hang out in my sweatpants, no make up and hair in a messy bun feels great! I always look forward to Sunday’s because for my household we really do relax.
